WELCOME TO MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE INTERNET.

About Caroline Damesek

I am an artist and student working in poetry and multimedia art. I often mix mediums including photography, video, sculpture, collage, and words. My work explores what it means to create and what it means to observe until the observer’s perspective transforms. By playfully exposing the strangeness of the human experience, I encourage viewers to imagine, seek connection, and create magic within their own lives. In a world of overconsumption and isolation, my work aims to reveal the beauty and joy that can be discovered when seeing through a lens at the intersection of childlike imagination and adult wisdom.

I am influenced by modern creatives Meret Oppenheim and Gertrude Stein. My favorite museums are the Tate Modern and The Museum of Modern Art in New York City. My creative process is inspired by sculptor Myongsin Choi and poet Tyree Daye.

While most of my work blurs the lines between fantasy and reality, I also work in portrait photography focused on highlighting the essence of individuals.

HERE ALIEN HORSES ARE REAL.
