I thought I had a hobby for hosting parties until I realized that "party" fails to encapsulate what I now call "Chic Cave Events." Inspired by the intellectual salons Gertrude Stein hosted in the 20th century, my events became spaces for connection and creativity. GOODBYE CHIC CAVE EVENT
This event marked the last time I would host a Chic Cave Event in the Chic Cave itself. Once visitors arrived, I presented them with a video and speech discussing how Chic Cave Events became a celebration of connection and creativity. Following this presentation was a guerilla fashion show which I coreographed and created symbolic pieces for. Each element of the Goodbye Chic Cave Event spoke towards the theme "Connection is the Key." This surprise show featured a group of my friends and me in a collaborative performance symbolizing the act of connecting with each other through creative expression.
